Pretty sure you can move the input shaft as far away from that gear & tilt the shaft so the bearing comes around the gear. Its hard to describe.

Thanks Cgtech. I really appreciate your input and everyone else here at BGW. This site has become very addicting.
I've tried every possible angle, and even made sure I was holding my mouth right. hahaha
I've been messing with this input shaft now off and on for a few days while waiting for the new input shaft to come in, with no luck getting it to come all the way out. I've come to the conclusion that this particular rear end does not allow the shaft to come out with out splitting the case. Should have the new shaft by Wednesday. I'll let you guys know what I figure out.

2007 Yamaha YDRE (white tag team axle)
I got my new splined motor shaft in and have removed the axle from the cart and split the housing. Not a big deal. From reading previous posts, I know the white tag axle is the inferior one, but I was really hoping/praying that mine would be ok once I split it apart. Of course it wasn't. I'll call it the intermediate gear assembly, the one that is spun from the splined motor shaft. It is really really razor sharp and thin. However, my "main" internal gear that is spun from the intermediate gear is good and looks great. So after my rambling, my main question is, can I buy just a better intermediate gear for this axle?

JW2-G6348-01 is the part number for intermediate shaft, the "-01" part means its been changed some from the original part. Part #10 in the diagram.

So is this a better up grade from the original gear? Do you sell this part?

I dont sell any parts on this site, nor do i mail parts to my local customers. I am only providing this info to help you on your search. As i said before, the "-01" on the part number (instead of "-00") means the part has been changed from the original design. Yamaha does not usually tell us "what changes were made", but they did replace tons of those axles under the original 4 year warranty. They know what happened, and the newer versions of the axle did not have this issue. I put 2+2 together & assume this is the new gear.
