Default Powerwise charger problem

I plugged my cart in last night and instead of it going to the usual 20 start i went to 17 or so got up this a.m. And it's still on 17 and the meter hand is bouncing from 14-17 amps and was really warm ... Didn't boil the batteries tho what is it??? I'm at the lake and need to fix it if i can !!!!

Measure the pack voltage at the main positive and negative terminals, then measure the voltage between the red and black wires attached to the control boar in the charger.

Ought to measure the same in both places. If not, there may be a dirty connection between the auxiliary contact in the charger output plug and the outside of the negative radsok in the charge receptacle.

Or if the voltage is above about 45V, the control board may have gone belly up. If so, bypass the relay on it and you will have a manual charger that will charge the batteries without hurting them if you limit it to about 12 to 16 hours of charging.

---------
Also, check the individual battery voltages. The 14-17 amps, sounds more like a battery problem than a charger problem.

Your at lake greenwood right? We now have a HF in greenwood. Go online to the harbor freight coupon site think it's HFqpdb.com and get a coupon for free multi meter. Hopefully there is one valid now.

Edit: I looked and there is a fee one right now. Click the link. http://www.hfqpdb.com
