Re: Club Car Precedent Problem
Plug your computer into the controller and see what it tells you in the monitor panel. If all else fails reinstall your old Curtis controller. Assuming an XCT controller.

Re: Club Car Precedent Problem
I hooked up the computer and it says no motor controller located, I figured it was going to say that since I can't even get the controller LED to light up.

Re: Club Car Precedent Problem
Time to call Alltrax. Hopefully it's still under warranty.

Re: Club Car Precedent Problem
I think it would not hurt to check the solenoid.

Re: Club Car Precedent Problem
Shouldn't the solenoid still "click" if the controller has gone bad?

Re: Club Car Precedent Problem
Not all that familiar with your set up, but, are you running a resistor across the large terminals of the solenoid?

Re: Club Car Precedent Problem
The solenoid will not click with a bad controller. With an XCT controller there isn't any resistor.

Re: Club Car Precedent Problem
Just trying to help. Is it not also true that a bad micro switch will prevent any current flow to the solenoid as well? Would check these before blaming any major components.

Re: Club Car Precedent Problem
I have a DCX controller and yes I am running a resistor on the solenoid. I was just inspecting the resistor and at one of the connections (not on the solenoid terminal) it was so corroded that when I tried unplugging it, it broke at the connection. So I have ordered a new resistor but not sure that was the actual problem or not.
