RXV "slips" or hesitates
2009 rxv. Usually no problems. Trojan batteries 1 year old.
Every once and a while, it will slip or hesitate as I'm driving it...kind of similar to a transmission slip...kind of catches, and jerks the cart a bit...don't think it's the brakes, but I know that everything in this cart is electrical, so I'm not sure. The cart is certainly drivable, but its becoming a bit annoying and I don't want to damage something. The brakes are working fine. No hesitation during start up.... Any input would be appreciated. Also the motor brake is 1 year old, |

Re: RXV "slips" or hesitates
Remove the rear wheels & check the nut in the center of the hub. If you find either to be loose, remove it & check for damage to hub & axle splines. Wouldn't be a bad idea to remove both, clean, coat splines with anti-seize then torque nuts to at least 75 ft/lb. Unlike a Txt, a Rxv will continue to run with a stripped hub, at least until the posi is ruined.
