You do not need to by-pass an OBC for a battery minder.
The battery minder comes with alligator clips that you hook to the pack positive and negative. This will provide a float charge while you are away.
Make sure you get a 48 volt battery minder...they come in most (if not all) voltages.

Charge with cart charger every 2 weeks and use maintainer in between when in storage???
I use "The Battery Life Saver" 48N on my cart. It had new US Battery 12v XC's placed in it June/2010 and the the BLS was installed in 2011. That along with my standard Powerdrive 3 has lasted me for 7 years now and still have fairly strong batteries. It is used around the neighborhood and right now has a pack charge of 50.8 right now and was last used on Saturday.

I have ordered the 48V Save A Battery from J&B Tool Sales for $75.92

https://www.jbtoolsales.com/save-a-b...ainer-48v-50w/

I'm not sure what your postage would be but orders over $100 post free if you needed something else as well.

Of course I had to pay international postage which added a bit.

I just purchased that same battery saver, hooked it up via the alligator clips to the battery pack on Sunday, checked my voltmeter yesterday and its holding at 54.2 volts, when my CC charger cuts off the batteries are only at 51.3 or so, batteries are new and I know they supposedly will hold more charge after a few cycles, but so far I'm really liking the battery saver, it appears it will keep them charged at a higher level than my cart charger ?

I should not come here. I spend money on things that I never thought of before reading about it.

Anyway, I bought one of the 48V Save A Battery. I got it today and hooked it up. Looks like a cool deal.
Now, I'm thinking about buying a couple 12V models to hook up on the wife's car and my Jeep back at home. Sometimes it's 6 weeks or more before we get home and I've ruined a few batteries in the past by letting them sit.

That sounds like a very sensible thing to do, especially for the price.

That's the one that I bought.

Another member posted a link to a site to get them cheaper than I paid if you purchase $100 or more, free shipping.
If I purchase the two 12V Save A Battery, I'll purchase form them and save a several bucks compared to Amazon.
