Default Curtis SW180 solenoid wiring issue

Club Car 2016 Precedent Model JE (i2Excel) No OBC (at least I can’t find it)
Project Speed upgrade Motor, controller, solenoid, 4g cables
Motor AMD 48V 7HP (7144)
Controller Curtis 1268
Solenoid SW180 (photo)

Solenoid Wiring
1)Large terminal marked + to Battery #1 +
2)Other large terminal yellow wire to Controller B+
Question can the large terminal wiring be reversed?
Question instructions said Do Not Reuse the resister is this correct?

Activation wiring:
3)Small spade terminal Blue wire (Positive)
4)Small spare terminal Blue/White stripe (Negative)
The spade terminals are not marked + / - and there is no visible diode (see photo)
Question which terminal gets the solid blue positive wire and do I need to add diode?
Thanks

If the Big Terminals are marked, the side with the + must go to the Battery.

That is because it has magnetic blowouts on the contacts that depend on polarity to work properly.

The 1268 does not use any pre-charge resistor.

The 1268 has built in diode for the Solenoid.

There is no polarity on your Solenoid, so the activation wires can go in any terminal.

Hi,
I have the same question with this solenoid.
Do I connect the blue/blue white wire side by side
Or do i connect both on the same side.

Look closely at the picture posted and You can clearly see where the coil wires are connected to the terminals.

With the Solenoid big studs pointing UP, the activation wires would go on the same side (one on the top and one on the bottom terminals).

Picture is worth a thousand words. Disregard the diode.
