Default Re: Precedent throttle problem

The symptom that is hard to resolve is the throttle change with key ON, that is why I was thinking added load to the throttle return signal from the black/yellow wire (specific to the Excel carts).

The other possibility is the sonic-weld on the purple wire as it splits to the black/yellow and the speed sensor negative.

Since you already peeled the harness apart, make sure that sonic-weld is not introducing resistance to the circuit which would have the side effect of raising the throttle signal.

After I put the other controller on it, the rise in throttle percentage with the key on is much smaller- just 1 or 2.
The purple/yellow and black wires aren’t reading any extra resistance.

The problem has gotten so intermittent that it’s almost impossible to figure out. If I let it sit for a while and go over to it only about 1 out of 10 tomes will it go over range. And once it goes over range if you bring the pedal back and forth a couple times, it doesn’t act up anymore.

It’s a lot better but I can’t give it back to the guy saying it’s fixed because i know it isn’t

Is there anyway to calibrate the throttle down just a little bit?

Hello! I had this problem of going over 100% , as seen on my hand held programmer. I lifted out the pedal group. Look up under the accelerator pedal and note how far it travels. I manufactured a throttle stop to lessen the travel. Now, it stops at 100% every time. I just put it down to wear of the plastic parts involved.
