Here's one last suggestion. Just because the solenoid clicks it doesn't mean it's good. Put a load across your A1 & A2 motor terminals by wiring a 80 watt light bulb across them. If the light only dimly lights when you hit the go pedal the solenoid may be bad.

Since he is experiencing different symptoms depending the direction, there must be something else happening.
How about this. Forward applies full power to the motor and reverse only applies half power?

They both get exactly the same PWM frequency, the Controller changes the duty cycle of both the Armature and the Field PWM to Control the final speed.

All his symptoms indicate a Controller failure.

They both get the same frequency but as the name Pulse Width Modulation implies. They change the pulse width not the frequency.

I ordered the ALLTRAX 48500 controller and the 400a Solenoid from Carts Unlimited yesterday. I am hoping I can just dial down the controller Output until I have the Money/Need for a higher amp Motor.

To me the Solenoid and MCOR must be working fine because once the motor starts spinning the speed of the wheels varies in relation to how far the gas pedal is depressed all the way to full speed. Which only leaves the Motor or Controller and thanks to all the input you guys provided i put my money on the Contoller. I will let you know.....

Just make sure it has the correct map for your stock motor. If you let scottyb know, then he will place the correct map in there so it is ready right out the box.

That is the same setup I have on my 2010 Precedent and it works great for mostly flat to small inclines, very fast with good started up torque.

The stock motor just does not have enough HorsePower to go fast in steeper hills, which unfortunately I have around my place.

Maybe I will treat myself to a new motor for christmas

PQ Executioner - Its a beast of a motor and I have no problem with hills and 4 people on the cart. And we both share the same controller....
