LED headlights too bright

The more I hear, the more I think my best options are to put a dimmer on the LED's or replace the bulbs and forget about hi/low beams

Yeah, does she really need high/low? Hook up dimmer, set it and forget it. Maybe even hide the knob, or else she may turn them all the way down and call you in a panic, "the lights don't work!"

Since Your kit came with a high/low switch on the turn signal assembly, make sure the LED headlight is not already designed to provide it.

The RHOX LED headlights have 2 wires connected by a "bullet connector" that when connected provide power to the high beams and when you disconnect the wires the power only goes to the lower beams.

Are golf cart LED high/low beams actually aimed differently like car/truck incandescent lights with two filaments, or are they more like bright/dim?

I rigged up my LED dome light with high and low, but I really just interrupted the 12 LEDS with an on/off/on switch to do 2 LEDs or 18 LEDs.

I know the LED light bars (and some round ones) have separate reflectors for "pods" of LEDs where that can control the beam angle or the direction of the beam.

It probably depends on the manufacturer as far as the reflectors, but they all typically just turn of the of the LEDs on for low.

Problem solved...for cheap. Floor dimmer. $6.95. Advance Store.
Use the dimmer box on either output.
High on the other output. It has 3 terminals. Headlight switch "on" to (center term. Two outs. Attach high beam to one of the side terms, and straight to the headlight. Attach the dimmer box feed to the other term and the dimmer output to the headlight. The two output terminals just toggle back and forth. The center term is supplied by your existing headlight switch. No complicated wiring. Same as SPDT switch. Retro you know!

If the light wasn't led, I could work up a two element of two bulb solution. I think the LED light is only designed to be on or off. I know the lever is made for hi/ lo beams and has a position for parking lights too. I didn't experiment with it to see if it's actually wired for those functions. I assume the handle it kind of generic and fits several applications.

I didn't get a Rhox kit. I'm not sure which one it is. I've order a lot of stuff the last couple of weeks. Was thinking about trying to lower the voltage to the lights to create the dim setting. Wish I'd know the Rhox came with hi/lo.

All I really need if for the LED's to be a little dimmer. Even with the headlights angled way down, they are really bright . I think the problem is they aren't focused. They're just bulbs with 360 degree reflectors.

I ordered a dimmer. The plan is to lessen the intensity a little, readjust the projection angle, and hide the adjuster under the cup holder.

Does it look like this?..the unit is an EPR Distributors and they don't know from s#!t. Found a "Fat Man" that had some info on the stalk. Nothing complete. I've pinned this out. Plan to attach everything and see maybe this weekend.
Post a pic your unit and the plug. The plug'nplay pins should be the same.

I like that. I really miss floor dimmer switches. I remember stomping on the switch several times when someone refused to dim. Venting like that on a stalk would break it!!

That's the unit I have. I'd still like to get the hi/lo to work, even the parking lights. Don't need to, just want to. Right now, my Aunt is happy and I'm getting involved in other projects, so I may just move on. I'd like to know if it can all work.
