These HD RXV Brakes
I guess imma little bit of a skeptic about the HD brakes I keep seeing advertised. I have a 2014 rxv lifted, camo, yall know anyway I've had this cart for little over 3 years. When I got it it still had factory brake on it and I've replaced it once. So are these HD brakes really any better than the regular ones you can buy for over 100 dollars less?Have any of you installed one of these HD brakes and seen a difference of replacement time? For almost twice as much cost I'd expect to keep one a long time before it needed replacing.

Re: These HD RXV Brakes
The problem with the HD brakes is their higher current draw. Many times the controller complains, especially if it is a Curtis, or it eventually causes the controller to fail.
That’s why you can find a hundred posts on this forum suggesting using only the OEM Brake. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

jkredman HD brakes are ok with a Curtis controller but bad with Danaher controllers.

Re: These HD RXV Brakes
And the 617766 HD brake is OEM equipment, but only for Curtis rxvs. Danaher controllers are the ones that complain about the HD brake.

Re: These HD RXV Brakes
I just wonder if the high price tag is worth the hype. My cart does a lot of bumping and banging down my farm roads but hardly ever does over half throttle.

Re: These HD RXV Brakes
I would say it's worth it if you park on a lot of slopes. All the motor brake is supposed to do under normal circumstances is hold a already stopped cart still.

Re: These HD RXV Brakes
Nah I dont have any slopes it's all flat where I park. I know I'll have to replace mine eventually again. Just trying to find out if the price is worth it or going with another regular brake.
