Default Ezgo TXT 36v PDS electrical issue

No voltage reading on leads to old 2 pin ignition switch. Switch still works, just no volt reading. Should the switch be replaced?

That should be the wiring diagram for your cart. I don’t want to misspeak but it looks like you need pack voltage out to f the reed switch, into pin 4 at j1 on the controller, out of j9 and into your key switch. At least that’s what it looks like to me on that diagram. Johnnieb should see this soon and confirm.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding you, but if your key switch tests good, but you don’t have anything going into it, I wouldn’t replace it ??? Hopefully your problem is the reed switch, or a wire, and not the controller.

The wire from the reed switch should go to J1 Pin-4.

I suspect you might be getting the Jack number and the Pin numbers of those jacks a little caddywampus.

Here's a picture of a PDS controller with Pin-1 highlighted on the various jacks and a drawing showing the voltage paths through the PDS controller.

Checked wiring again and found r/w wire from reed/s goes to J1 pin 2. y/w goes from J1 pin 8 to key/s. I double and triple checked. Thanks
