Default 1997 txt battery voltage indicator goes down quick

Hi All,

Newbie here. The battery indicator light seems to go down very quickly and it is flashing the red lights but the cart still goes and batteries don't seem drained down much at all. I did check the battery voltage when this happens and it was 36-37Volts. Is this normal for the battery light going low with this voltage? cart is a 36volt DCS.

Those 10-led bar graph meters are not accurate, unless the batteries are perfect. Even then, it's not all that accurate. Real voltage numbers while driving, and after a trip are much better. Check each battery while driving for dropping numbers that are much lower than the rest.

Ok I will check actual voltage levels. Thanks for feed back. I do think battery’s are probably due for new ones. These are around 4yrs old I was told.

Also, be careful...DCS cars don't take well to low voltage and tend to eat controllers.

just call me old school but the old analog dial volt meters were the best. Those Reliance Digital Charge Meter, that the "Big Box" golf cart store sell is better than nothing at all, however they have a high failure rate, several warranties over the last 2 years
We have attempted to use the Numerical DMV meters, but the sunshine makes them hard to read.

RXVs still use a 'dial' meter but, from experience, it's just as inaccurate as the digital 'bar' style meters. Half 'tank' is empty or at least close to 20% SOC

We tried to sell digital 'volt readout' meters that indicate voltage in two blue LED digits. but folks had no clue what the readings meant, what was full or empty, or were frightened to see their 48V club car go to 38V up a large enough hill, so we stopped using them. If it ain't either 'F' or 'E' the folks around here in Kentucky ain't got a clue.
