Default Help with intermittent Issue

Hello guys, I have had my cart at a dealer for 2 weeks and they can’t identify the problem due to it won’t act up when they test it.

Cart info:
2000 TXT 48 volt
Axe controller 4 years old
Heavy duty Scotty b solenoid 4 years old
4gauge cables all tight
Heavy duty FNR from Scotty b, 1 month old
2 year old Trojans with watering system @ 50 volts I’ve checked every high voltage connection for tightness.

Problem:

Going along sometimes with no change in throttle, cart acts as if you turned the key off, will coast to a stop. Solenoid clicks, but no go. Wait 20 mins or sometimes 24hrs, cart will go again.

Dealer said it could be anything? They are too busy to tear into it without it reproducing the problem. I have done all the upgrades myself with the help of this forum. I don’t know enough to know where I should have power and not have power when it fails. I tried looking at schematics but I’m a little fuzzy?

Could it be the micro switch?
Motor overheating?

I’m not sure, but I’m on my own with the dealer, hunting season is coming, I need to be able to rely on it again. 4 years with out a glitch.

Thanks

Series drive, AXE controller, scottieb's HD F/R switch, Etc, upgraded to 48V.

Suddenly coasts to a stop, solenoid still clicks, starts working again after it rests for a while.

Two things come to mind: Overtemp shutdown or Undervolt shutdown.

Next time it misbehaves, observe the LED on the AXE and carefully push the pedal just far enough to make solenoid click. Looking for two things: First that the AXE does power up (Four green flashes if set to ITS type throttle) and secondly any Red flashes (see error codes on attached). If you're lucky, the AXE will tell you where to look next.

The next time it quits on you determine if the solenoid is clicking when you try to go but it won't. And look for LED status light codes as JB suggests.

It definitely clicks. I’ll check the lights. Thanks

It finally quit again. Error code is 2 red flashes? That means under temp? It’s 90 here in Texas, doesn’t make sense?

Help... hunting season is next week

No, it has to be something else.

I suspect the controller has bit the dust, but contact Alltrax.
They may have some tests that you can do to check the AXE controller.
