Appears to be a "Schumacher SE-1072 5/10 Amp Multi-Battery Charger" based on a google search of the model no. I don't know anything about it.

That can't be right, the se-1072 is a regular car charger.

Here's another pic of the charger on the 2x4 perched above the motor:

Wow, don't try to move that charger without disconnecting the battery pack (tow/run switch is not enough) or it will damage your controller if those motor posts make contact with each other.

I was trying to figure out what to do because I would have to remove the rear seat assembly to get it out of there. If I do take it out and attach the proper plug to insert into the receptacle it should work, right? It works now as far as I can tell, I checked while it was plugged in and the pack showed 54 volts and climbing as it charged. But I don't know when the charge is complete as I can't see the front panel and I'm afraid to leave it unattended.

That's not a charger designed for use on a golf cart. "Right plug" or not. Get rid of it.

I realize that now that it's out of there, but I could only see the back of it before. It should have never been put there in the first place. People rig up all kinds of things just to save a couple dollars, safety be damned.
