Default Voltage reducer

Is there a way to test a voltage reducer to see if it has gone bad or not?

Just put your meter on the 12v out and see if you’re getting anything. Do you have it running to a fuse block?

Replace dozens of the little POS reducers from China, Some just stop, some melted the light harness....spend the extra dollars and install a KSI activated, Fused unit at least double the expected amp draw. Several of BGW sponsors have some great units at good prices.
Some folks just leave them dangling off of the harness, or tied up with wire ties. Ensure that it mounted to an area that could become a heat sink, they will get warm, especially those that are not Key activated.
Enjoy the Ride

If you have a fuse block, it will be a smallish box, hopefully with a cover that comes off. 12v supply will come into it from the reducer. It will have individual fuses that are inline with the 12v supply wire that goes to each 12v accessory you have.

Your reducer should have 4 wires coming out of it, 5 if it has a separate trigger wire to turn it on. 1 wire to pack +, one to pack -. The others are the 12v and or the trigger wire. Can you I’d the fuse block and the different wires I’m talking about?

What cart do you have? Which reducer? What accessories are you running off of it?
Can you post a pic of the reducer and the fuse block?
