Will 48 volt cart run on 36 volts
Can you run a 48 volt club car on 36 volts the lady I bought the cart from said she did I bought a new 48 volt solenoid the new one clicks when you push the pedal the old one did not but still no go all batteries together put out 35.8 volts please help me thanks

Never tried it but it may not be enough to operate. We use to put 36v motors on 48v carts to make them faster, but never tried the other way around.

Not sure for DC volts, motors,coils ..??
But low volts on AC motors burns them up. |

I bought a DS that was 48v with 36v batteries in it one time. The owner complained new batteries (6/6v) gave shorter and shorter run times eventually becoming unusable with about 8 months time.
What I saw was a 48v cart with 48v charger and 6/6v batteries I imagine the low voltage resulted in excessive amperage draw possibly over heating the motor, solenoid, controller, F&R, etc. |
