Update. Replaced mcor 1 with mcor 4 and took it for a test drive. Cart drove very well without any issues. Actually seemed to have more power then it’s had in a while. Not sure if replacing mcor should have helped with more power or not. Thanks for all the help

Today the cart had the same problem. Drove cart for 15 minutes and drove perfect. Turned it off for 15 minutes, then tried to drive it again and it jerked a few times and was very sluggish. Turned off and back on again and power was worse, could barely pull up a few feet to park it. Let it sit 5 minutes and it drove better but still a little sluggish. Let it sit another minute then it drove better.
Checked new mcor4 connections and all looked good. Cleaned all batteries and cables over the weekend and they are tight and showing good charge.
Every time this has happed has been when the cart was turned off and parked for a short time then turned back on. Never in the middle of a ride. I did notice my on dash voltage would change when I turned the key a little firmer. Voltage reading went from 49.6 to 50.5. Voltage prior to messing up was 50.5 . Any tips would be appreciated

A bad MCOR is not gonna cause you to have no reverse.

Almost sounds like the brushes in the motor are toast.
Disconnect the pack negative, remove one cable from either A post on the motor. Use a multimeter to check continuity from A1 to A2 posts. With one rear wheel off the ground, spin the wheel while checking continuity, the meter should show continuity the whole time. If your meter beeps to show continuity it should beep the whole time even while the wheel is spinning. (Spinning the wheel makes the motor armature spin) If the beep is broken or not constant, the brushes in the motor are worn out and need to be replaced.

Thanks I will check that tomorrow. Does it matter if both rear wheels are off the ground during the test?

Should still work, but make sure the other wheel doesn't spin opposite. With an open diff if the opposite wheel is not held still, the ring gear may not actually turn and transfer motion to the input shaft into the motor. The motor armature has to spin to be a valid test.

Thanks for the clarification, I will keep the opposite wheel still.

Continuity tested good across both A post with the passenger side rear wheel off the ground and spinning. I also had good continuity across both S post with all cables disconnected and wheels on the ground. Did not have any continuity from any post to motor case. Cart was in neutral with key off and neutral cable disconnected from pack.
While spinning tire I did notice the tire seemed to have some resistance in spots while spinning in reverse. Motion was smoother spinning forward, but didn’t free spin.

Could be the brakes dragging a little. Take the wheel off and remove the brake drum and see if you still feel the same thing without the brake drum on.

Today when I took off in reverse the cart studdard and seemed to struggle to rotate the wheels for a couple seconds then it took off and ran fine for a couple hours. Any idea on what would cause the struggle to take off , it was an obvious struggle to turn them over.
