Default 07 CC Speed sensor

I have the pop/snap in and out speed sensor, it looks like someone replaced it recently. However I noticed the magnet is cracked or broken, do I need to replace it also?.

Yes, and this would be a great opportunity to upgrade to a high speed one.

I have a Harley like yours, I stuck some old batteries in it and it runs. All I’m missing is the right front fender or whatever you call it. When I retire next year I hope to start restoring it. So I can pull it behind the rv. Back to the cc speed sensor magnet, what is easy way to replace it. It looks like a stainless piece that has two small notches holding it in place, but I don’t have a tool to grab the notches and un thread it. And I don’t want to beat/tap it with a screwdriver and hammer. Thanks for your time

Oh very cool! They are neat old carts for sure. And there are still quite a few out there, so you should be able to track down a replacement fender fairly easily.

Does your CC have the gray GE motor in it? If so, I've heard that a paint can lid remover is the best way to get the old magnet out. Then you can take a socket that fits just over the new magnet to install it.
