Smile Noob to the carts. Want to buy new motor

Hello all!!! Just bought a 2000 Club Car DS for a song. 48v. Very happy with it. Just ordered a 6" lift and 14" rims wrapped in 23" tires.

This thing is dog slow. Im looking at the Plum Quick Rattlesnake motor. Its pricey though. $2,000 to get the HD reverse switch, HD solenoid, Motor, Controller, and 2 ga wires. But it says it does 31 MPH. The price isnt whats leading me away, but the 6 week build time.

Does anyone know of other options? Im looking for decently cost effective way to achieve 24-25 mph. If i have to get a controller, so be it. But what are you guys running with lift and tires to get to 25?

Thanks in advance and i look forward to posting our new ride up here!!!

For a series 48v CC DS you can use an Alltrax 500 control, 400 solenoid, 2g cable set, HD F&R, and a number of speed motors like AMD 7126 or AMD 31036

Your OEM controller is probably rated around 250A.
To go fast you need more push and a 500A controller will give you a lot more.
A stock or aftermarket motor can only do so much with 250A.

I have two PowerDrive 48v DS's a '98 4 Seater and an '01 6 Seater. Both are totally stock except for EMP motors (https://empinc.biz/).

They both achieve about 24 mph. Not sure what impact the 23" tires may have?

I have an EZGO series cart with a 400 amp Alltrax and one of those AMD motors from Scotty running on 48 volts that I'm getting 30+ MPH! And Scotty may have it all in stock. Alltrax is behind on getting parts for the XCT controllers, but they say it's not affecting the SR controllers.
