Default Club Car cutting out

My 03 C C runs great for a few miles, but will suddenly start missing out. When this happens and I let it sit for a while it will run good again. When this happens I notice the fuel filter is empty and after it sits the fuel filter fills up. I replaced the fuel pump and not sure what else to do. I wondered if the engine vacum could be too weak to operate the fuel pump 100%.

Any advice appreciated.

Check the vacuum line from the pump to the crankcase

Check tank vent as well. When it stops, open the seat and loosen the tank cap, if you hear air rush in your tank vent is clogged.
Or just might be time for a carb and tank cleaning.

Also carry a spare plug with you and when it quits pull the plug wire, stick the new plug in and ground it. hit the pedal and check for spark.
If no spark you probly got a coil going south on ya.

The vacum line is new. How do you know if the vacum is normal? The cart has about 7000 mile on it. The tank doesn't have a vacum, I loosen the cap every time it happens just in case. I have wondered if the pick up tube in the tank could be clogged.

Check the carb vent tube and make sure it is not plugged
up with something. It's the small plastic tube coming out
of the carb on the passenger side, and runs down and
forward toward the frame on the passenger side. Just
get hold of it and pull it back inside the engine compartment.
There is a small plastic insert in the end that holds the
tube open. If that cloggs up, it will cause problems just
like you have.

Thanks for all the advice.... I'm still having the problem. Big Bump, I'm going to check the vent tube line today. Do you know the function of the vent tube?

Not exactly. I would say that it lets pressure OUT of the carb,
since it is vented out under the frame. I would think that nothing
should be coming back inside since there's no filter on it. If pressure
can not get out, gas can't get in. Therefore, empty fuel filters.
Just saying.

I checked the line and it is open. The only other thing I can think of is vapor lock. The compartment does get warm. Have you ever heard of that on a cc?

Try this once...

On the fuel pump, you see a small circle with a screen in it,
it may be pluged up with debris, and the pump diaphram can't function as it should!
(I've seen this on 2 carts this summer!)

Just toothbrush as much of the debris off of the screen as possible,
shoot it with carb cleaner, then test drive!
