Re: my stock Husqvarna(Club Car) has trouble climbing hills
a solid stae engine? maybe im not familular with that term, but solid state refers to old style(vacum tube type) electronics and the new electroincs(transistros and capacitors) or basiclly digital to analog. either way i dont know what engine is in there, but if the engine has a valve cover facing the seat with club car or ohv on it its a over hear valve engine. if it has the sprk plub on the very top, ussaully in the center of the head, its a flat head engine. the flat head engines or a l- head engine have the valves to the side of the piston. the ohv engine has the valves on top of piston. the spark plug is basicly at a 45 degree angle. basiccly at the 12 oclock postion.if it has a lot of covers on the topof it its propally a ohv engine. the knocking you wer explaining at firts could be the valves. but that still doesnt sound right with the compression being ok.
if you needed a carb clean, they should have cleaned the carb by pulling it off, and cleaning the jets, passages, and the needle and seats. if the engine was bad i would think it would have been found then, not 3 weeks later after they had it. look on your mator (if you have it) and see if it has any manufacture names. kawasaki, briggs and stratton, honda, techumsech. and see if it has a madel sticker/serial/engine id on it. this will help tell wht it is. is there a kawasaki fe 290, or 350. or a kf82 on it? look on the bracket that hols the starter/genny to the it it usally has a id number on it to say which engine its for. mine at least does. |

The cart is at the shop still but I know it has a Kawasaki FE350 engine. The cart is an '08 Husqvarna 4210GXP.

Re: my stock Husqvarna(Club Car) has trouble climbing hills
why would a 08 already be knocking and that bad shpe? it sounds fishy to me. the fe350 is aa ohv engine. no a flathead engine. i have no idea where they got he solid state part from it. give eric a call, , i aggre with him, i am wondering if it may still have a warrnty on it. he may know all the logistics on this too. sounds like the husq. dealer needs work, if it was a dealer they should have let you know if it was still under warranty. i think its one year from delivery. same with engine. unless you had it modified. to kill the warrnty.

Re: my stock Husqvarna(Club Car) has trouble climbing hills
i bought it used and it's not a dealer. I was told by the company Husqvarna wouldn't warranty it because it had been a rental. The hour meter dosn't work so i really don't know how many hours are on it. I would think if it was a rental they would have made sure all the service was kept up and they would have charged the customer that broke it. My company had delt with this company so I figured they were good. I wonder now.

I`m pretty sure what "solid state engine" refers to is electonic ignition, no points or condenser. Sounds like blowing smoke to confuse him to me.
