huh? I don't think they knew what they were doing any more than you would have.

Find a good shop, and get it taken care of.

If I was you I wouldn't sweat this problem either, there isn't a lot to a golf cart, and once you find a good shop and a manual so you can do the easier stuff, you should be golden!
