Default oh crap!!!

yesterday, my 13yo daughter took the wifes '05 txt to get the mail out of the mail box. On the way back up to the house, she swerved and drove the cart off our bridged into the creek 4 to 6 ft below the bridge. She is fine, a coupel of bruses and scrapes and hurt pride.

As for the cart, it came out better than i expected. It landed upright on all 4 wheels. What i have found so far, busted head light lense, the hinge on the folding winsheld is tosted, the cup holder is cracked and i think it now has a bent brake drum. When we pulled it out of the creek, not real deep, mid thie in depth, did not get to the speed controler or moter .
any whay, when i drove it back up to the house, i heard a rubbing from the right rear wheel. Took the wheel and brake drum off and the rubbing sound is gone. Do you think that it is possible the drum got bent? the shaft seems to run true as best i can tell by eye.

any ideas of what else i should look for?

Glad your daughter is OK.

But now is the time to get those upgrades done. Just tell the wife it was from the wreck damage.

Bent wheel? Check the rear axle housing for a break too. A drop of 4 ft could put a tremendous hit on the rear end when it hit....

well after much scraching and spitting, and a few days looking, seems all the runnning gear is ok. Only repairs needed are to the winsheld hinge, tpp half pulled off the rubber flexible part, and one headlight. I am hoping, that i can find a replacement light that will fit the bezel.

anyone have any input about how to put the winsheld back together.

I have been known to go to a hardware store and get a stainless piano hinge and stainless bolts/nuts and bolt it back together. I kno it dont look good, but 20 bucks is cheaper than 120 for a new windshield.

i thought about that, but after looking at it real good, all the parts are there, the top half just pulled off the flexible part. did not know if anyone had an idea on how to put it back together easily. If i cannot do that i will go the paino hinge route

thanks for the info
