A Pot is a throttle position signal sending device ....... And no we didn't load up the list with unnecessary parts....

You don't mention if your cart is lifted or has offroad tires on it. If you have stock suspension and tires the upgrade won't keep you from getting stuck in wet grass.
You might be better off selling the cart you have and taking that and what you would spend on the upgrade and buying a newer 48V cart with lift and tires.

I added in series a 12v battery to the bagwell and wired it through a contactor actuated by a momentary pushbutton switch. Everything remains 36v including the contactor coil. Use the pushbutton when you need that extra boost (48v).

EBay auction.
Price was $125 to my door. I think the list price is $300+ but the best price at the time was the EBay auction. You are looking for a high current DPDT contactor. This one was rated 200A (doesn't even get warm for my use). I just checked (Ebay) and nothing came up for that contactor today, but it is available from Tennant. Bigger would be better here but I got bored searching the net for a larger amp contactor at a reasonable price (I didn't think this was a reasonable price either)
