2006 Stoped running

2006 ez-go 36 volts smell of burning & quit running

new to this help appreciated

it could be anything.

Burned wire, burned battery post, burned controller, solenoid, electric motor, depending on what drive system - fleet/series, pds - you could have a burned up f-n-r switch.

we need more info on cart.

I will look at it & give more info I dont know mutch about electrics

pictures will do wonders.

you might even find the issue when you raise the seat.

You have a PDS cart, look by the motor access cover, there is a cross bar, there should be a white tag with a serial number on it, it will tell you the year of the cart, get those numbers and let us know what you have. Have you tried to re crimp the the broken wire and hook it back up?

First thing I would do is Bigger on your wires. You still have the facotry 6ga on there and they are JUNK. Go 4ga. That will increase torque.

You can remove that black cover and see what "chip" is in the controller. The red "chip" is the freedom chip which is the fastest. If you have the red already your only option is a new rewound motor for more RPM or go 400zmp on your controller.

You can see the red chip in the last picture.... It is time for a bigger controller .... and a few custom cables.
