Default Won't charge please help

I have a cart that i just replaced the batteries in. I redid all of the cables and ends. The cart runs fast and holds a charge. But it will not charge when i plug it in the wall now. Here are some other symptoms:

Lights do not work ( could be a fuse )
Horn has never worked
The battery level meter on the dash will stay on with the key in or out.
Battery level meter will only go off when the cart is in neutral
The charge box for the cart will not click or even show a charge.

When i replaced the batteries i put them in the wrong place and hooked the cart cables on the wrong terminals so i am not sure what i fried doing this if anything.

Cart info:
36V EZgo workhorse
Not sure of the model number.

What should i try? Any wiring diagrams as far as lights and horn too?

You may have fried the reed switch ... it's a fusable link in the charge receptacle ...Check to see if it has power at the red wire coming out of the charge receptacle (see pic) If not? You can just buy pass the reed switch buy connecting the red wire to the Battery pack 36v Positive with a 50amp fuse. The reed switch is $45. A 50a fuse just a couple of dollars.

would that have to do with the battery level meter not turning off with the key or is that another issue?

After looking at the charger i took it apart and have 110 coming in on the black wire from the outlet. It goes in to a small relay looking board and comes out on a black wire. The wire coming out has nothing on it. Not sure if it should till the cart is charging or what. About to give in and take it to somebody.

when you plug your charger up to your cart do you here the relay click? If not you may have a bad circuit board.

check the 50amp fuse in the charger. if its bad than your diode pack is probably bad. Check the diodes.

the fuse should be attrached to the amp guage. I am guessing you have a powerwise charger.

Yes you can get the circuit board seperate. Checkout our sponsors. I am sure they have it.
