I've worked out a partial trade so the cost for the batteries is low and if I use Gornoman's 48V setup to avoid the cost of a 48V charger I can save $$$. I've got to be budget friendly. Longer run time is just a bonus but I've never heard anyone complain that they don't have to charge their cart often enough!

Gmans 36+12v charger system only works with 6v batteries, not 8v

Right - I'm looking at 8 6V so I should be ok. Any insight on a good controller? I may upgrade with a small lift, slightly bigger tires and a rear seat in the future but do not intend to change the motor.
