Question Question, How do you know if GC charger is working

When I plug my GC charger in to the cart and turn it to start it clicks and makes a humming sound but is reading zero on the meter? Is it working or not?

Tape your multimeter probes to the main terminals of your battery pack and observe the reading. Now, plug in your charger. When it hums, the voltage reading on the pack should climb instantly. If it remains steady, the charger is NOT charging.

All of your batteries are hooked to each other to form a chain. Find the two batteries that only have one terminal each hooked to another battery. Those terminals are your main pack positive and negative. Your meter should read 36v (+ a bit on full charge) across these terminals.

Not at all. If someone says they're a moron, I go with it!

But seriously, everyone starts somewhere. Keep at it and you will learn a few things around here....

If it's a nice meter, have the person you borrowed it from show you how to take DC voltage readings in varying ranges.... you can damage the meter experimenting.
