Default Speaker location

Hey guys I recently bought a golfcart that already had speaker right behind the seats..

I was wondering what the advantages and disadvantages would be with having the speakers under the seat (next to shifter), behind the seat, or on dash.

Thanks, Anthony

P.s. Nice forum site you got going on over here

Under the seat - Sound is directed to your feet, not your head. You'll have to turn it up louder to hear it correctly and there is a good chance of them getting kicked and / splashed in bad weather / muddy conditions. If you remove the speakers at a later date you'll have to repair the holes. Possible clearance issues.

Behind the seat - Sound is directed at your back, not your head. You'll have to turn it up louder to hear it correctly and there is a good chance of them getting muffled by clothing and / or jackets in cooler weather.

On the dash - Best sound quality at a lower volume since the sound is now directed at your head. If they are mounted on the top of the cowl area, they can be knocked off by careless people and low hanging obstacles. Mounting them on the face of the dash is best and protects them better.

All 3 are good choices, its just a matter of what an individual likes.

I hope this explains it a little better.
