looking for 1/4" tinted folding windshield (txt)
I am looking for a 1/4" thick, folding, tinted windshield for the 96+ txt's with the attached style hold down style only. Can anyone help? I have been searching a while.

Stock windshield is 3/16". There are 1/4" windshields out there but all I found use the squeeze type hold down that I am not a fan of. I like the hold down pictured above, it works well.

I think that windshield with the clip like the pic is OEM EZGO. Go to EZGO site and check out part number 611732.

Hey Sportcoupe, my windshield has that same holdown, bought it at local dealer,www.chiefcart.net. See where that takes ya!

From what I've seen there are two types hold downs for split windows. I'll call them Type A and Type B for ease of identification. I like Type A much more then B. Type A is what I want in a 1/4" and tinted folding window. I don't know if it exists.

I called them (about a year ago) and talked to them.
TXT windshields were not on the website then either but when I told them what I was after, they had just what I wanted. Mine is 3/16" thick. I much prefer the type "A". Russ |
