I will be installing a kicker pxibt50.2 controller and amp and pairing that with some 6.5 inch pods for a Rhino from SSV works. I have yet to see anything I really like and I am just trying the pods from SSV to see if they will look right. I contacted them and they were ok with me returning if I do not like them. SSV works is a great company and they have very good customer service. I purchased a system from them for my Can Am commander as well as a Kawasaki Teryx 4. Once I get everything, I will take some pictures and post so people can get an idea of what they look like.
The other option I have thought about is getting some ABS spacer rings and trimming them to fit flush with the surface below the seat. I have seen some custom stereo shops do it that way. I just prefer to to have to speakers firing at me. http://www.ssvworks.com/product/yama...-speakers-pair http://www.kicker.com/40PXIBT502 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: What did you do for a stereo?
Thanks for the ideas! I have the ssv setup in my maverick! I agree with the speakers firing towards you, but im kind of leaning to where they are in your pic. 2 there and 2 in the rear of the cart. I couldnt find anything for pods for under the dash, Let me know how them speaker pods work out!

I will definitely post some pics. If they do not look right, I will return them but will post for others to see prior to taking off. I had a lengthy conversation with the guys at SSV and they are the ones that came up with it for me to try.
I also spoke with the guys who installed those in the yellow cart and he told me he used 1" ABS spacers for those and trimmed them down. That will be my next move it the pods do not work out. Keep me posted on what you do so we can provide options for others! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I know you said you don't like the overhead consoles but this is my setup. It was a dealer promotional item from what I was told. I got the whole thing (console, radio & speakers) for $125.

I like the marine gauge style units. Don't take up allot of space and waterproof. Here is mine;

Re: What did you do for a stereo?
I just tossed in a Bluetooth 4.0 speaker in one of the cubby holes and ran it to my phone. Best $27 I've spent since black spray paint.

Well got the stereo all done.... Pain in the *** but it sounds great.
I went with a jl Bluetooth marine radio 4 wetsounds xs-650 rgb Wetsounds SYN 4 amp 2 marine 12 volt battery's Loudest and cleanest 6.5 speakers I've ever heard. Everything is blue and matches the under glow. I still have to clean and straighten everything up but you get the idea. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: What did you do for a stereo?
Wow, you guys are committed. And I guess I'm kind of ghetto. My cart goes to the beach and lives in the humid coast so I didn't think it made sense to spend hundreds of dollars on an installed stereo.
I got a portable Bluetooth speaker system that sits perfectly on the top of the seat backs (front and rear seats) on a closed foam yoga style mat and strapped down with a webbing strap used for tying down a kayak. Sound level is not booming, but perfect level when cruising the island and stopping at the beach. For the Amazon price, I could replace or upgrade it every year. Boosted, how thick are those spacers in the front? Were they a pain to trim? I mocked up the SSV pods and the clearance on drivers side is not good so I am going with the same option as you.
