If you go with Alltrax I would go with more current than you think you need because you can set the current limit to anything you want with their PC program. Then if you upgrade and want more current, you have it available. The controller will be more reliable and run cooler that way too.

xcntrk, 28 mph on a stock motor w/the xct 500? On my 2010 ydre I went with a high speed/banded motor from Electrical Motor Products, xct 400, 4 gauge cables, stock tires and I'm only at 26 mph. Apparently I wasted $600 on a motor that wasn't necessary for speed on flat ground? EMP told me to peg the xct at 8000 rpm, which is what I did. Can't imagine the bigger tires you have would make that big of a difference, so is it just the xct 500 vs 400?

he must have larger tires. the stock motor is only capable of 22mph on stock tires.
