Relay activation wire G29
Hey everyone quick question for you. I have a relay that I need to activate with the ignition where is the best place to tap into an ignition only wire? Should I find 12 volt coming from the back of the actual key ignition and run that back to my 12 volt reducer or is there a better way to do it?
Second question I ordered this battery monitor from Amazon mainly for the looks. Now I've realized it doesn't have a built-in relay to activate only when power is received from from the ignition. So my question is is there a way to only turn this device on when the car is on that is will it work with a relay? In should that relay be a 48 volt relay? Re: Relay activation wire G29
Ignition has full battery voltage. If you want to actuate a relay you need a 48V coil.
