Default 08 Drive Speed Problem

One of our carts is having speed issues. It goes from off to full throttle instantly in forward and reverse. There is no resistance or beeping when pushing the cart in tow either.

No resistance or beep when pushed while in tow means speed sensor is bad. I believe it has 2 wires coming from it and is mounted to the end of the motor.

Should be three wires.

When in tow there is no resistance or beeping! When NOT in tow there should be resistance and beeping.

I meant to say when it was in run, not tow. It's not doing it when it's supposed to at least. I was assuming it is the speed sensor so that's good to hear.

Is the speed sensor the same thing as a pick up assembly. Looking for the part online, that's what it lists it as. It's on the end of the motor and has a three pronged plug on the end with a cover on the wires. It's a disk on the end of the motor.

Yes - that is it. Speed sensor. Hall Effect and magnet. Don't buy a Chinese copy.
