genertor motor won't turn off - wierd
The generator / start motor on my gas club car Pioneer 1200 - AD0106 will not cut off with out disconnecting the battery. I've replaced everything in the solenoid box and the ignition.

Re: genertor motor won't turn off - wierd
Remove one of the small wires from the solenoid, connect the battery.
If it starts spinning the solenoid is stuck or welded closed, replace it. If it doesn't spin, reconnect the small solenoid wires and go to the little black box under the seat. The top micro switch is for the solenoid and the lower micro is for the ignition ground. Both are activated by the throttle cable and plastic half cam. Unplug a wire from the top micro, reconnect battery cable. If it doesn't spin you have a bad micro switch or it is out of adjustment and the contacts are not opening when the pedal is released. Keep us posted. Mitch |
