2001 DS Problem
Hello, I am new to this site but it's great. I have a 2001 Gas Club Car DS that I just bought. It is refurbished. I have had it about 3 weeks. This weekend when I got to my camper I thought it had a dead battery as it would not respond when I stepped on the gas. After charging it it did start but left me stranded a little later. The next day I charged it longer and it did start some more but I'm not sure it's the battery. When I first try to start it it hardly makes a sound. Sometimes as much as 30 seconds later a push on the choke and it does take off and then will run great. But if I stop it for any amount of time I'm back to the unresponsiveness. Any ideas what the problem may be?

Re: 2001 DS Problem
Sounds like a weak battery and/or maybe the charge system is not working?

Re: 2001 DS Problem
Check the battery voltage with it running. Voltage regulator may have gone out and when you're driving it, it's dying slowly.
