Default noisy clutch

hi i just bought an 85 gas club car and dont really no much about it. i do know when something doesnt seem right though. The motor itself sounds great it seems from whot i have read on other postings to have so work done to it but the front clutch is very noisy. It sounds like a knock in the motor but its only at a high rpm. When you run down the road it just sounds as if it is doing a whole lot more then it is. I have a new belt and its got about 1 inch of play to it but golf carts are new to me so im not really sure what it could be any suggestions ?????

High rpm, its time (right now) to start taking things off and inspecting them.
Sorry but the terms knocking, ticking, whining and so on are hard to covey
through a key board. A piece by part inspection is in order here.

#1 , time to get the grease gun and oil pan out.

Grease everything, change all fluids, never believe what a seller tell U. (unless it's me)

my clutch was doing the same thing at high rpm's .well it broke loud bang and the cltuch was out .It's down at cpp right getting rebuilt or a comet installed.you better have some one look at it or spend $$ for a new clutch or have it rebuilt for 100$ .mine sounded like a whistling noise or a winning .i thought it was just a loose ball bearing
