Default reverse buzzer

I have a 04 yamaha G22. The reverse buzzer is very loud when backing out of my garage at 06:30 to go golfing. Is there a way to turn it off or disable it?

Tape over it with duct tape to quiet it down.

I taped mine and it's much quieter. It's not a good idea to disconnect it. It's a safety feature.

I have to agree, taping it is much better then disabaling.

I'm half-deaf and I still can't stand that thing. I know it's not the popular thing to do, but I went to radio shack and bought a $3.99 switch. If I ever want to use the buzzer for anything (i.e. troubleshooting) **flip** but for the most part, I just don't listen to the noise.

this is how people and dogs get run over, because cart owners disconnect the reverse alarm

It sure would be nice if someone came up with a 36-48v chime instead of a buzzer. I used to wake my son up every time I had to back the cart out of the garage.

Use one of those pencil erasers that fit on the end of the pencil, or ear plugs. Cleaner than tape, and come in lots of colors! Removeable and cheap, too.

That's a true statement...and I agree. However, I also see people run into big, solid objects in vehicles with a back up camera and warning buzzers a-buzzin'...LOL.
