Do not use the frame for ground, for testing or anything else!!! You can destroy the controller.

Strange. Today I went out found I had left the key on from last night. And low and behold it ran great. Not one issue except that gear like noise. What the heck is going on here? And what is that noise when I let off the throttle?

Can you determine if the noise is coming from the rear end or the motor? It's common for the motors to growl and need a bushing/shim and grease

I would say from the motor but it is hard to tell. How do I replace this bushing and where do I apply the grease? Do you have any idea what would cause the other problem?

Ok so now it runs. Its a 2007 and really noisey, it probably has a "white tag" axle on its way out. See some other recent posts about yamaha axles for more info.
