Getting the ignition parts wet will temporarly disable the cart, but no permenant effects.

Both Ideal and Spayon make a aerosol Electric Motor Degreaser.these products can be used on electrical windings and other electrical conducting applicati8ns the prduct evaporates

I wash my engine all the time with a hose or pressure wash, I've never had it not start and drive away. A good thing to do on anything around water is to get some dielectric grease and put it on the sparkplug and in the boot and around the wire into the boot if you can, it really helps and they come off easier. You can use it on any connector just stuff some inside, works like a charm on fuse holders just fill them and jamb the fuse in. Used it a lot on boats and under hood or body wiring on cars/carts where something could still get moisture to it.
