G9 4 cycle gas, need help
My G9 cart has been a puzzle getting it to run well. I've done all the things you guys have talked about. valves at .004, cleaned the carb twice now, sealed the air box, checked the carb spacer and gasket, gas spurts out of the fuel line when removed so that seems ok, Now the darn thing runs good only when it's warm out (75-85 degrees) When its cooler it runs rough and you can only get it to go if you push the throttle just a little, too much and it bogs down. the choke doesn't seem to make a lot of difference and it's not much better when it warms up. thanks in advance for any ideas. Bill

Might be an igniter problem. A bad igniter can cause very strange symptoms.

Re: G9 4 cycle gas, need help
The best way to assemble the air box, is to take the whole thing out of the car and assemble it on your work bench!! There are many little crevices that are difficult to be sure they are assembled correctly!!
And the air box top is prone to warping from being assembled wrong!! |

Re: G9 4 cycle gas, need help
Thanks for the feedback. I'll check that air box again. Is there a way to test the igniter before I buy one. Looks like they're about $150 bucks, but worth it if it works. Bill

Re: G9 4 cycle gas, need help
There is no test for the igniter. It is suggested that you test all other ignition components. If they test good, it is taken for granted, that the fault is the igniter!! And that was the case with me!!

Yeah. That's a good idea. PM G1-G9. Unfortunately, he's in Texas for another week or so. You may have to wait for the part or he may be able to get his son to ship it.
