Re: Gas Yamaha Drive Noisy
Yep, fix that input shaft bearing before the whole thing is ruined (or not, its only about $1600 for a new axle).

Re: Gas Yamaha Drive Noisy
My 2011 muffler rattled like crazy, so purchased a performance exhaust from Plowmans (about 4 months ago) and the noise was gone. However, just last weekend the noise returned. I'm hoping it's bad gasoline, but will remove the muffler to inspect welds.

Re: Gas Yamaha Drive Noisy
The mount for the starter generator is known for the weld breaking which can sound like spinning a bicycle tire and let a playing card slap the spokes.

Re: Gas Yamaha Drive Noisy
It has been my experience that the Yamaha, being a relatively large bore single cylinder (thumper in the motorcycle world), tends to be louder than the EZ-Go twin cylinder. Of course, then EZ-Go went to the Kawi engine and I've no experience with that one.
