Caryall 1 gears
I just installed 22" tires (and a lift) and finally clocked my cart with a GPS. Downhill with the engine at full speed = 14 mph. This seems low considering the new 22" tires. Are the gears in the Carryall higher than the DS or it this the normal slow a$$ speed to expect?

Re: Caryall 1 gears
Kimmer i have a carryall, have the rev limiter on, the road governor ziptied with 22 tires. I get 22 down hill. Around 17 on flat just zipping around on roads.
I tried the zip tie on the spring on the pass side, no real diffence. So i ziptied the road governor arm to the shift cable. Took a couple of tried, but it dosent bounce on the rev limiter and dosent scream when headed down hills. Plus when the lil ones want to fart around on it i can slip it off and put it in turtle mode out of turbo mode! |

Stock is 14-16 mph With 18" tires. I would say a new drive belt, unless you have replaced it.

anywho a new belt should measure about 1 inch wide with calipers, or at least in the high .900's. You could measure yours or take it to the dealer to compare if you have one close. -Aaron |

Re: Caryall 1 gears
i would think huge. a wider belt will come farther out of the drive giving you more rpms to turn the driven clutch
mine wasn't that bad and i replaced it. felt like it did a lot better. that was before i had a gps so no actual data though, sorry. hopefully someone else will chime in with there thoughts |
