'87 cc/ds gasser slow speed
would a 6 to 1 ratio rear gear set help or create more of a problem? are there any other ways to speed that year cart up?

i,m not sure about the gear ratio but you can adjust the low speed idle cable and the Gov. to gain speed but make sure whoever does it knows what they are doing cause you can cause engine damage by trying to gain to much speed............................
