Arrow some things are never meant to be but i will make it

well got a 83 3 wheel with a 244 in it. had it running had a problem. had it running, had a problem... seized it. now with almost no ideas at all i am short for words. i need to know how to get to the bearings on the clutch side when i broke my small shaft off at the top of the bolt hole inside the clutch, stripped the threads inside of it and, well....just all around went about tackleing the last problem with it all wrong. need a way cause i am not giving up that easy at all. i have almost 1k in it in the last 2 months getting it back up to a 244 beast after all my lessons learned.

Hmmm .... to start, if the shaft somehow broke (and the threads in the clutch stripped) with the clutch still ON, You definitely have an issue. To start, if You haven't pulled the motor yet, do it now (it'll be easier to work on with it out) - maybe someone will chime in with some experience in the matter, but I would think You could possibly retap the threads in the clutch and make a new clutch puller ?!?!

i figured. stupid move on my end. went to college for diesel mechanics and figured that this would be an easy task. should have known that after reeming on the puller with a 2 foot pipe wrench that some thing was wrong. but i read that just when you are about to give up, these things just pop off. might have to send it out after i retap. got the tap the other day with 2 others close to it and a 10mm wrench for $2 at a flea market going back to try and make a set b4 he runs out. those things are priceless. i really do need to see it they still have the cranks though cause a quick cut and new crank and bearings and i would be back to mudding and actually make the mud pit i was getting ready to set up in the woods. shouldn't be more that 350 or so. and since this is a 3 wheel 83 i really am happy to say the only one i know about... have not seen one on here........ oh and its all tore down to the clutch crank and the 1/2 piece of the jug

You need to use an impact on the clutch puller, not a 2 ft. pipe, thats why it broke off. The vibration from the impact helps to loosen the clutch from the crank taper.

got the clutch off with a torch, the jaw puller, and the 5lb hammer. took a little while to get the bearings out but all is a go for the rebuild as soon as i can get a hold of a bearing set and new piston i broke. everything else is new almost except a few little things and this 1983 3 wheel is going to be back on the mud trail lol. need to find the cable to hook up my phone to show some pics....
