Does the solenoid click once you push the go pedal?

Ok, I'm almost wondering if this is the infamous solenoid dropout common on 02 IQ cars...

WOW. I was given the cart and put new batteries in and cart would not run, replaced controller and cart ran and ran good. Decided to install lift kit so I took my time and did that and was test driving. Now this problem. Is there a fuse or does it require a new solenoid?

Is it completely stock? Check for any loose or broken wires, something could have happened when the lift was installed.
It may not be a coincidence that it acted up at the same time the lift was put on...

Yes stock I believe. I just checked the wiring again and then tried to move it forward and back. at first it would not do anything then I put it in forward and pumped the pedal a couple of times and it moved forward then I went to reverse and it backed up????? By the way Jake thanks for the help. My wife is worried about me now cause I seem to spend a lot of time looking and reading on this site. I had no Idea there was this much interest in buggies. I will be posting a picture of my ride soon. Proud owner of a Club Car DS.

Should the back up alarm work if key switch is off?

I'm pretty sure it still does, yes.
You may have an MCOR (motor controller output regulator) problem since pumping the accelerator fixes the problem temporarily.

You'll have to join our club! Click the link in my sig...

Sounds like the micro-switch in the MCOR, do the paper clip jump of the 2-pin MCOR connector.
