Default Re: 2007 club car precedent charger

Ok, filled each battery with distilled water just to cover plates. Charged each battery individually to above 32 amps. Hooked negative cable back up and plugged the cart charger up and it turned on and began to charge. BUT now the meter on the cart charger is pegged out above 15 amps and does not seem to want to cut off. It gets very hot! It finally cut off but only for about 20seconds then back on again. Any ideas. Bad cart charger? The batteries seem to charge up just fine. Just don't want to fry the batteries or electrical system on the cart.
