Yep. Except for first six months or so of production, the F/R in a DCS is pretty much a series F/R without the high current contacts.

I'm not sure , but I think the cam in a DCS F/R switch has protrusions rather than indentations, so the microswitches are NO rather than NC, but the sequence is the same. One switch closed in F and both switches closed in R.

Also, the pedal switch tells the DCS controller to energize the solenoid rather than actually having its contacts in series with the solenoid coil.

Ok guys thanks for all the help, I have finally found the problem after 2 days of bugging you guys to death. The problems was the microswitch on the forward side. when you switch the handle to reverse both switches must close on the forward and reverse. Thanks again, I love this site.

Was it a cam travel problem or something blocking the indentation?

Cam travel on the forward side was not making up when handle in reverse
