Default Steering wheel sizes

Replacing the steering wheel on my '92 DS. OEM measures close to 14" od. Some I've seen are 12 1/2". Any noticeable difference in driveability between them?

I noticed the difference when going to a 12.5 inch wheel on an EZGO. Not bad but definitely different. However, i liked the 14 incher better and will be going back to it.

with all the carts we build we try to go with bigger wheels, when you have a lift with fat tires you can notice the difference a lot in my opinion

The bigger the diameter the more leverage so it will be easier to turn.

Thanks for the replies. I finally got my old steering wheel off with a pulling jig I fabricated and have been looking at some replacements. Anyone have a recommendation? I've looked at several including MAdjax which is a 13". A little smaller than what I had but most of what I've seen is 12.5".

Are you happy with the madjax? I was looking at the same one except in 'carbon fiber'. Just using around the house and lake so don't know if being a little smaller will be that noticeable especially since I haven't ever driven it to begin with.

This is what it took to get my old one off, and even then barely.

The one I just got for my wife's cart is very similar and is carbon fiber, but
not a Madjax either , will have a better pic of it installed after I put it on tonight
