Default EZGO RXV Speaker Pods

I notice that the RXV speaker pods say they hold 5.25 to 6" speakers.

I also see that the Bluetooth Kicker package is sold, but Licker doesn't make 6" speakers?

Has anyone had any luck using the Kicker 6.5" marine speakers? Model KM654CW?

Did you have to cut the pods to make them fit? Will they even fit?

You need to look up the actual specs of the pods then do the same for whichever speakers you're looking at. Different 6.5" speakers require different size cutouts, depending on the speaker and manufacturer. I'm not familiar with the pods you're talking about, but maybe you can post a pic, and guys can give their thoughts on what adaptions you may be able to make to the pods.

Or these https://ezcartparts.com/speaker-pod-...arts-2008.html

These are the pods I'm looking at. I want to know if the Kicker KM 654CW will fit.

Jason said he is not sure.

Or what has been the best speakers others have used for Pods like this?

I used the same pods and installed 6.5" speakers. I did have to enlarge the cutout a bit to fit. My speakers are Rockfords. Here is a picture of them installed

They are Rockford Fosgate R165X3 Prime 6.5-Inch Full-Range 3-Way Coaxial Speaker. I got them on Amazon for less than $40.00 for the pair. They sound great. I also added a set of 4" coax in the motor cover and a Bazooka Powered Sub in the bagwell.
